What is BROBIEfilms?
BROBIEfilms is a creative brother-sister duo that specializes in comedic, narrative filmmaking. The name “BROBIEfilms” comes from their mutual nickname “Brobie.” BROBIEfilms was launched in 2012 with their first video, known as the Forever Lazy Fashion Ad. Their goal is to keep creating original films and video content in several different platforms: short films, commercials, music videos, and documentaries.
John graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2010 with a B.A. in Film/Video Production and an emphasis in narrative filmmaking. After graduating he did a 4 month internship with the Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) Hockey Team. At the Lumberjacks, John became a heavy Creative Suite user as he was responsible for creating custom designs and animations for the arena’s jumbotron. Post-internship, he was hired as a cinematographer/video editor for Green Sky Creative in Royal Oak, MI. Green Sky gave John both literal and figurative wings. Since starting at Green Sky he has flown across the U.S. shooting and editing videos for brands like Cadillac, Ferrari, Amway, Metro PCS, Buick, and Lincoln.
